Bio
Sarah King is a trained actor, chanteuse, street performer and dancer. She has appeared at speakeasies dubious and prestigious in New York and other cities. Her quartet held a weekly residency at the Top of the Standard Hotel for ten years, (2010-2020).
She was cast as a singer in Sleep No More (2013-2015), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Season 5), and the film, A Complete Unknown (2024). Usually she’s singing jazz around town at an array of hotels and clubs with crews of swinging musicians.
Sarah recorded two studio albums with her band- Tulip or Turnip (2021,Birdwatcher) and The Masquerade is Over (2023, Birdwatcher)- the latter produced by Stewart Lerman at his studio in Hoboken (Hobo Sound).
She was featured on Stephane Wrembel’s last two albums and toured various cities with his 9 piece project, Django New Orleans. In 2022, she made her debut at Town Hall, and the Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center with Wrembel's group and later at Dizzy's Club at Lincoln Center in 2025.
Sarah is looking forward to singing with Glenn Crytzer's 26 piece big band in the spring of 2026!
